Lemon cake with mandarins


200 g unsalted butter

200 grams of sugar
2 eggs
1 lemon, zest and juice
200 g flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
100 ml of milk

150 g of sugar
1 lemon, zest and juice
20 g butter
200 g cream for whipping
canned mandarins


Oil whisk with sugar. Beat the eggs. Add the zest and juice. Separately mix flour, baking powder and vanilla and, alternating with milk, gradually enter into the bulk. Knead the dough.

Pour batter into prepared greased round shape. Send in the oven, preheated to 175 degrees for 20 minutes.
Heat eggs, sugar and zest with lemon.

Remove from heat and mix with butter. Cool. Add the cream and whisk until smooth.

Cut the baked cake into 2 parts. Between the cakes and on top Korzh apply the cream. Over the cream put the segments of mandarins.

Allow the cake to stand and soak into the cold.
