Grape cake “Sicily”


For the recipe you will need:

flour – 1 Cup

sugar – 100g
egg – 1 PC.
butter or margarine – 120 g
vanilla – 1/2 tsp

for the filling:

gelatin – 1 tbsp
egg – 2 PCs.
sugar – 4 tbsp
juice – 1/2 lemon
white wine – 1/8 l
cream – 1/8 l
vanilla sugar – 1 sachet

for decoration:

black grape – 400g
the cream (fat) – 120 ml
walnuts (chopped) – 2 tbsp

Egg lightly whisk, add the sugar, vanilla, eggs, add pieces of softened butter, the flour and quickly knead the dough. Give it a globular form and be put on 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Then roll out the dough, put in a greased form and make a high rim. Prick the dough in several places with a fork. Preheat the oven to 200C, bake for about 20 minutes. The cake place it on a slatted base.

The preparation of the filling. Soak gelatine 20 minutes in cold water and let it swell. Swollen gelatin to dissolve at a slow fire in a small bowl with constant stirring.

Separate the yolks from the whites. Beat the yolks to a thick foam, add sugar, lemon juice and white wine. Then into the whipped mass add the dissolved gelatin. Beat into a dense mass and proteins, without stopping whisking, add the cream and vanilla sugar. When the yolks cream will start to harden, gently stir in protein and cream mixture.

Cream to spread on the cooled cake and let it harden. Grapes wash, dry, remove the tails. Each berry cut in half and remove with a sharp knife of bone. Put the frozen grapes on cream.
